Ninety One Architects was set up with one specific aim; to make architecture simple. The focus is on delivering high quality design solutions to your specific needs, whilst ensuring the whole process is as simple and as stress-free as possible, by letting us take care of everything for you.
We understand that working with an Architect is something many people will be doing for the first time, and our aim is to make it an enjoyable and simple process for you. We look to involve the client in the initial design stage – the exciting part – and we will deal with the processes and applications that come with building works and design projects so you don’t need to. It is all part of the service of using an Architect and we are more than happy to guide you through it all.

Ninety One Architects is run by Claudio Marini who has considerable experience working on a broad range of architectural projects, specialising in the residential and hospitality sectors. In using these skills, combined with his experience in practice and on site, Claudio set up Ninety One Architects to provide a new, fresh approach to architecture with the aim of making the process of working with an Architect more accessible.
Claudio is registered with the Architects Registration Board and is a chartered member of the Royal Institute for Architects in Scotland.

“We managed to purchase a sloping garden site running down towards the River Clyde with planning permission. However, the plans did not do justice to the site and did not fit with our family lifestyle. We met with Claudio, who knew the site well, and provided a wish-list for our new home, primarily based on numbers of rooms and sizes from our previous address. We had no real plans or vision for the house, apart from it needed to be filled with light and to take advantage of the spectacular riverside views. Claudio listened carefully to our (vague!) requirements and managed to create the plans for our ideal home over the weekend, presenting us with a stunning multi-levelled modern dream house that sits in harmony within our wooded plot. Externally, the crisp modern lines of the house follow the contours of the site, cleverly masking the true size of the house. Internally, the house is bathed in natural light, taking advantage of the Southern aspect over the River Clyde.
It is fair to say the design has been transformative; the large open-plan kitchen / dining / living room is truly the heart of the home and has brought us as a family closer together. Clever use of levels separates rooms for work / play / socialising / sleeping, and a mix of covered and open balconies provide links to the garden which are usable in all types of Scottish weather! It is testament to Claudio’s vision that we made very few changes to his original concept. He was fantastic to work with and provided helpful guidance during the evolution of the design and throughout the construction phase of the build. We are truly delighted with our new home – it has surpassed our expectations and we pinch ourselves on a daily basis that we actually live here! We would have no hesitation in recommending Claudio at Ninety One Architects.”
